Gabi Baron
Director of Consulting
Gabi started her career in 1988 with Procter & Gamble in Germany. After gaining financial experience with the Internal Auditing department she moved to Marketing, where she worked on Pampers followed by launching Clearasil Clearstick and Clearasil Make-Up into the German market. She then transferred to Switzerland as Brand Manager for Pampers and Ariel, also launching Fairy Automatic into the Swiss market. Gabi returned to Germany in 1993 and successfully managed the skin care brand Kamill before being promoted to Marketing Manager with P&G Poland in Warsaw in early 1995.
In Poland she was responsible for Pampers and Always as well as Hair Care. She was also responsible for media negotiations with Polish TV and Marketing Recruiting. She later transferred to P&G Newcastle where she spent 9 months in the UK Market Research department, working closely with P&G’s European Paper Division in Germany to research and qualify new product concepts.
In 1997 Gabi left P&G to become General Manager Marketing at Premier Beverages in Moreton, responsible for Typhoo and LHS teas and the Cadbury hot chocolate range.
Gabi joined Glendinning in 1998, becoming a Director of Consulting in 2000. Her extensive language skills coupled with her unique experience in line management enable her to contribute to a wide range of projects in various European countries. This includes benchmarking, category and trade marketing projects as well as marketing and financial training. When Gabi is not traveling around Europe for business, she enjoys creative writing, traveling for pleasure and spending time with her nieces and nephews.
