Simon Morris

Regional Director

Simon’s business career started in 1989 when he joined Unilever in the UK as Commercial Trainee. Over the next 6 years Simon worked in a variety of roles across Supply Chain, Marketing and Finance. After a short sabbatical where Simon was the project manager for a Health Care centre in Guyana, he was appointed to Company Commercial Manager for Lever Faberge based in London. Simon left the FMCG world and Unilever in 1997 to become General Manager of commercial with Virgin Atlantic Airlines – a very different business to Unilever!

In 2000 Simon re-joined Unilever in South Africa as General Manager responsible for new business ventures. In this role his focus was creating relevant consumer mixes, defining the route to market strategy and developing sales force capability. In 2003 Simon joined the Board team of Unilever Home and Personal Care Central and Eastern Europe as Managing Director for the Czech and Slovak Republics. During this time Simon was responsible for Unilever’s brands in a highly competitive market with rapidly changing consumer dynamics and eighteen international retailers.

Simon was a founding Director of Glendinning Middle East and has been responsible for building the Glendinning business and team in the region. Simon’s has been involved with a number of clients working on a variety of projects including trade terms, business planning, customer marketing and commercial capability.
